Who knew naming an adult board game would be such a challenge? What a journey to get here! The name wasn’t always “The Best Party Game”. It was “Revolution”, “Hot Seat”, “Exposure”, “I’ll Buy That” and a host of other ideas that didn’t fly. After stumbling upon “The Best Party Game”, our first feedback from a valued critic was “it seems really pretentious”….

and indeed it is, but we were rather crushed. To move forward we needed a name!! We were getting frustrated trying to explain that it was an adult board game, not a video game, not an online game, but a game that you get live people together for….like a party….When we started describing it as “an adult party game”, then people instantly knew what it was. What a relief to achieve clarity!

Then we learned a little about SEO (search engine optimization), and started thinking about a powerful URL, which would be key to naming the product. With a little help from a dear friend we researched key words and discovered that “best” “party” and “game” got tons of hits on Google. We strung them together and voila!- the URL was available!! Not only that, there was no possible trademark infringement on other products; so “The Best Party Game” was born, capturing www.thebestpartygame.com.

There are a lot of board games for adults, and many of them are fun… so why is “The Best Party Game” the best?? First of all, we are just plain biased and a bit self-aggrandizing; we put our hearts and souls into this game, so it truly is our “best”.

Some other cool features include the size, which is compact and pleasing; not taking up too much space or packaging material. The colors and graphics are so attractive and lend themselves to nifty T-shirts and other paraphernalia; (soon to come!) No one is at a disadvantage if they are strategically challenged or trivia-deficient; everyone is on equal ground to be fully included. Perhaps the most amazing feature is an intangible one: the game changes and evolves each time you play it; the answers and conversations get deeper and crazier as everyone’s comfort zone expands. No bluffing, no guessing, no trivia, just raw, unadulterated realness. Does that qualify it to be “The Best”? Don’t take our word for it! Take it for a test drive and let us know what you think….
